Tom Molinelli - Owner / Craftsman
EARTH WOOD & STONE
Owner Tom Molinelli has been active in the construction world for 27 years.
T-Bone grew up in South Central Los Angeles and even as a child had a curiosity and affinity for life outside the city. Trees, nature, fishing, music, and building have always been his passions.
Molinelli studied horticulture and landscape architecture at SoCal Roc, where he also began his career in construction, starting at the bottom doing basic labor and learning how to build homes.
Eager at 17, Tom moved to Atlanta and became a roofer, working in custom roof work – mostly cedar shakes and copper roofs then began apprenticing as a framer building custom homes in the area.
Then Tom accidentally went on tour playing harmonica and guitar for a million years, doing a bunch of fly fishing. (That’s where the stage alias “T-Bone” was born)
Back in Ventura, California, he partnered with a good friend and began a custom construction company. Molinelli became a Foreman for the company and was the head of customer relations and sales, as well as an installer and inspector. The “Jack of all Trades”.
With a range of management and contracting experience under his belt, T-Bone branched out and started his own company in San Luis Obispo with a focus on custom remodels and repair work for a roster of private clientele.
BOOM. Accidentally went on tour again. He travelled throughout the US playing music, fly fishing, and doing custom work. This was his training ground for assessing different climates and codes between California, Atlanta, and Colorado
Having traversed and down both Eastern and Western seaboards, all throughout the South, and now in Colorado. Molinelli worked with a diversity of environments, including earthquakes, high-altitude, sea, and snow.
In 2011, Tom moved to Colorado to start a Children’s Environmental Outdoor Education Program.
With an enduring passion for building, Tom has developed a team of artisan craftsman which has become EARTH WOOD & STONE. He continues to cultivate, educate, and empower his crew with a vision of a sustainable future, enjoying life in the mountains.
